I normally use this surgery's linked practice based in Rayleigh where I live. I have also used the Hockley surgery many times and have always had fantastic service and treatment from their wonderful staff. I had minor surgery there today and was very well cared for indeed. Many thanks to all concerned. Nothing whatsoever to complain about and I am very appreciative.

I have always been pleased with the service and advice given by the doctors and reception staff at the Jones Family Practice. Today my meeting with Doctor Matthew Curnock was exceptional. Our meeting was everything one would hope for and expect when visiting the doctor. Dr. Curnock greeted me with a friendly, warm handshake and then listened to everything I had to say and discussed fully my needs and concerns. Having given his very clear advice, including a drawing, he made me feel that I was in control of my medication but with sympathetic backup whenever I needed it. My visit was almost like a placebo in as much as I left the surgery feeling happy and confident. Dr. Curnock is a great asset to the practice.

Absolutely appalling service. No contact email and impossible to speak to a receptionist. You can only get repeat prescriptions electronically but you need to speak to a receptionist to be able to get password details - catch 22.

Unless you are prepared to get out of bed at 7am and drive down to the surgery for 7.40am , to queue for the doors to open at 8 am - you can forget getting an appointment !!!! The same applies for the 1.30 pm opening - it’s a total farce - it really is !!!! Just prepare to suffer physically and mentally from the frustration of daily being told you too late even though you have been on hold for 40 minutes and rang 5 minutes before the phones opened I once rang as I entered Tesco’s to do a shop - I shopped, went through check out, put the food in my boot, drove to Hockley, parked my car and walked in to the surgery to show the receptionist ( who was seeing no one !!!) that I had been on hold for one and a half hours !!!! Gutted this is my local doctors

Great location , friendly polite and professional staff -very clean waiting area plus I can hear the radio - nice touch
